SHAKESPEARE SCENE STUDY - FALL

Melora Marshall grew up in a theatre family. Performing. Always. As a professional actress, she has worked at the Mark Taper, South Coast Repertory, San Diego’s Old Globe, The Ahmanson, and, of course, Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum which is her artistic (and literal) home. She is a founding member of the Theatricum and serves as an actress, teaching artist, and active member of the company. For students in this class Melora seeks to develop a true sense of themselves as actors and to allow, through the classics, an outlet for that sense of self. The scenes and monologues are a conduit for that self-expression. Through solid techniques of acting Shakespeare honestly, clearly, with passion; interpreting his characters; building a repertoire; working a full spectrum of material the artist grows in confidence and experience.
