With a Theatricum flair, the Post-American Civil War period becomes the setting for this light hearted Shakespeare comedy. Unable to act on their feelings and forced into exile in the Forest of Arden, lovers Rosalind and Orlando become entangled in a beguiling game of love, lust and mistaken identity. Gender roles, American folk music and Civil War politics are deftly entwined in our staging that reflects on just how bewildering yet utterly pleasurable life can be.
