JOB OVERVIEW:

Overseen by the Producing Artistic Director and Production Manager, the Technical Director has the responsibility for ensuring the technical operations of Theatricum Botanicum’s productions, including lighting, sound, set design and construction, props and costumes, are in safe working order. The Technical Director is a Staff position at WGTB.

The repertory season consists of five or six mainstage productions, three of which are part of our School Days program with performances and other activities for school groups on site. Rehearsals for the first productions begin in April. School Days performances begin in May; the repertory season runs from June 7 through October 11; School Days also has a Fall session in September/October. Productions are rehearsed and opened in succession; once open, each runs in rep through the end of the season, with one performance per weekend of each show that has opened.

In addition, WGTB will be producing two events – a Gala in August and a Holiday Faire in December – for which the Technical Director provides technical support.
