TITLE: Patron Services Intern

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Patron Services Intern will work onsite at Theatricum Botanicum over the 2025 repertory season, attending every performance and helping to manage the audience experience before, during, and after each show. The theatre and grounds are ADA compliant. Patron services play a critical role in the impact of live theatre. The memory of the entire theatregoing experience is what the audiences take with them. The Patron Services Intern will participate in customer service, donor support, and arts administration while working in the front-of-house, box office, and concessions in the busy, magical environment of Theatricum Botanicum. They will receive mentorship and training from staff members who are accomplished actors and long-time company members. This 5-month position will run from early June to mid-October, with a varied schedule of approximately 15 – 30 hours a week. The weekly schedule will include hours during days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking candidates with a passionate interest in theatre arts. The Patron Services Intern must be able to provide polite customer service to community members of all backgrounds. Knowledge of basic computer software (Word, Excel, Google Suite) and strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred. Candidates will need to be able to focus in an energetic, fast-paced work environment and feel comfortable working in “the great outdoors” of the Santa Monica Mountains. Flexibility over the 5-month internship period is required to accommodate the varying weekly schedule of this position. Candidates must have a working vehicle, valid driver’s license, and up-to-date auto insurance.
