2024 Matching Challenge
Match your gift!
The Herron Christensen Family Trust has generously provided a $100,000 grant and issued a 2:1 matching challenge to encourage further support. This emergency grant is intended to assist Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum with the financial difficulties resulting from the road closure on Topanga Canyon Blvd. at PCH. Theatricum’s Board and Advisory Board immediately responded by contributing and raising nearly $40,000 towards this matching challenge, and twenty members of our local community responded within the first 3 days of this announcement! We invite you to join us by donating any amount to help us meet our urgent needs. We are committed to producing our entire 2024 Season and offering a full slate of classes to serve you this summer.

Once the home of Woody Guthrie, we have preserved this significant space to be filled with fascinating archives to preserve the Activism and Resilience of Theatricum, Guthrie and the Geer family. You can join the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors to help preserve this historic treasure. Planned Gifts, Stock, DAFs, RMDs
Your planned giving program can ensure future stability for Theatricum and its programs. Whether through bequest, endowment, or annuities, your gift will make a lasting mark on Theatricum’s next generations. Theatricum can now directly accept gifts of stock which means you pay no capital gains tax, while still deducting the full fair-market value. Another option is to make a contribution from your donor-advised fund (DAF). And, if you’re over 70 ½ and have a mandatory taxable distribution from your IRA, you can contribute that directly to Theatricum without counting the distribution as taxable income. Please consult your tax professional for guidance.
More Giving Opportunities
As a corporate donor, benefits may include ad space in our season playbill, your logo and company name on our website, ticket packages, and personal experiences with our company members.
These unique ceramic plaques are individually made by artist Megan Geer-Alsop from durable, high-fired clay. Each plaque is installed on a wall in Theatricum’s garden. Price range from $500 – $2500.
Through your contribution to The Herta Ware or Heidi Helen Davis scholarship funds, children, interns, families and adults receive training in the classics which instill a love of Shakespeare, heightened language and ensemble-based storytelling.
