Celebrate our 16th Season of nurturing new plays at Theatricum ~  Join us for refreshments, and share your thoughts with the artists.

Playreadings are FREE!
Made possible by a generous grant from the Dramatists Guild Fund

Seedlings is also proud to present private GreenReads throughout the summer, new plays by Elisa Manzini, Desiree York, Fengar Gael,  Diana Burbano, Stephanie Swirsky & Mel Green.

Interested in new works for the stage? Since its creation in 2002, this exciting development series has supported over 100 new plays, at least 25 of which have gone onto be published, win awards and receive major productions across the country. Contact Us to get involved.

We have an annual window for open submissions, September 1 – November 1.   The first 200 submissions received during this period will be considered  for Seedlings opportunities (Playreadings, Festivals and private GreenReads for a fresh look at early or revised drafts) the following year, as well as for production as part of Theatricum’s Summer Repertory Season.  Click Here for Submission Guidelines.

Seedlings Dramaturgy Workshop also offers developmental GreenReads.

Seedlings is committed to gender parity, with a goal of 50% or more women playwrights and directors involved in its public readings. We also encourage submissions from playwrights of color and other underrepresented artists.
