Theatricum’s Youth Classes seek to empower students with confidence; provide them opportunities to practice collaboration, creative and critical thinking in a positive, nurturing environment; and to introduce them to Shakespeare, theatre, and poetry, with the goal of inspiring a lifelong relationship with language, history, and art. Youth Drama Saturdays
Youth & Teen Combat and Fencing!
Starts Saturday, February 5, 2022. Students ages 9-17 learn the secrets behind the theatrical fencing and combat techniques that keep performers safe and audiences amazed.
YDS Spring: Playwriting & Performing
Starts Saturday, March 19 2022. Students ages 8-13 collaborate as a team to create their very own play!
YDS Fall: Musical Theater Song & Shakespeare Monologues
Starts Saturday, September 17, 2022. Students ages 9-17 work on a hand-picked musical theater song as well as a Shakespeare monologue!
Youth Summer Camps
Youth Drama Camp Session 1: Workshop
Starts Monday, June 20, 2022, and runs Monday-Friday for two weeks. Students ages 8-14 work with expert teaching artists will to explore a Shakespeare play, culminating in a share celebrating all they’ve learned.
Youth Drama Camp Session 2: Production
Starts Tuesday, July 5, 2022, and runs Monday-Friday for three weeks. Students ages 8-14 will take technique-based classes as well as rehearse and present a final performance.
Starts Monday, July 11, 2022, and runs Monday-Friday for one week. Students ages 8-14 experience the magic of our Shakespeare Youth Drama Camp from the safety and convenience of their homes!
Youth Private Coaching and Combat Snippets
Scheduled at your convenience, work with Theatricum’s expert teaching artists one-on-one! Perfect for Performing Arts Middle/High School auditions!
Combat Snippets! Online Stage Combat Series
Theatricum teaching artists, choreographers, and fighter/performers Celina Lee Surniak and Mollie Wilson take participants through short, fun, physical stage combat moves using a Broadsword, Lightsaber, and Quarterstaff! Each short segment includes a warmup, breakdown of a move, practice, and a cool-down. Each segment builds on the one before it – use one, two, or all 13! Once purchased, students can watch/review/repeat each segment as often as they’d like. All videos are available to watch online or download and keep forever.
