An Update from Theatricum Regarding the Palisades Fire:

All members of our Theatricum family who live in Topanga have safely evacuated, along with vans of equipment and hard drives from the theatre. The first responders battling the fires in Los Angeles have our deepest gratitude as they tirelessly work to mitigate an unfathomably devastating situation.

Our hearts break for those who have lost their homes and businesses, and we urge everyone to heed evacuation orders and look after each other.

We hold our collective breaths for the preservation of our theatre, and long for a time when we can gather together again under the shade of the old growth oaks for a rehearsal, a show, or a class, when all of this is a harrowing memory. Until then, stay safe, and we hope to see you soon.

UPCOMING EVENTS & CLASSES

Ancestral Lands

We want to acknowledge that we gather on the unceded, ancestral lands, past and present, of the Chumash, the Fernandeño Tataviam, and Gabrielino Tongva (also called the Kizh Nation, kizh being the word for home in the Gabrielino/Tongva language). We honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who have stewarded it throughout the generations.

For those of us, who are not Indigenous to this land, we must acknowledge the lasting impact of the California genocide on its native peoples. This calls us to commit to continuing to learn how to be better stewards of the land we are honored to inhabit as well.
